Mobile Food Pantry

On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month we host a Mobile Food Pantry, in partnership with St. Mary’s Food Bank, in our parking lot.  Produce, and other food items, are brought to us by a St. Mary's Food Bank truck on these Saturday mornings.  Everything is then distributed, by volunteers, to members of the community.  Distribution starts at 8:00 AM, but can vary depending on the delivery of items, and is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Distribution will be available until 9:30 AM, unless food runs out.  This program is free and open to all!

Due to possible changes in schedule, please check our calendar for up-to-date pantry dates or contact the church office at myccumc1@gmail.com or (623)932-3480.

Volunteers are always welcome to assist us!  If you would like to volunteer, please arrive in our parking lot between 7:00 and 7:30 AM.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

The federal food assistance program, SNAP or Food Stamps, is available to low-income households to encourage healthy food choices.  Did you know that seniors, and others who receive Social Security, can also qualify for food stamps?  Check out the links below for a guide that details the benefits of this program and how to subscribe.  This guide is especially developed to educate senior citizens about the benefits of this great program.  For more information, click here.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels is a nationwide program that provides older Americans nutritious meals and safety checks at little to no cost. The meals can be delivered to your home if you meet eligibility requirements, or you can go to a congregate nutrition site for socialization and food. If you struggle with isolation and meal prep, then Meals on Wheels could provide ease and companionship.  For more information, click here.

Care Ministry Team

The Care Ministry Team at Christ Community is available to meet specific needs of individuals and families who may be experiencing illness, isolation, grief, a life crisis, and emotional or spiritual burdens. The Care Ministry Team is closely connected with the Prayer Team and the Kitchen Krew so that food and prayer may be provided.

These services are not intended to replace professional counseling or community services. The volunteers on the Care Ministry Team are Christians who are reaching out to others by following Jesus’ commandment to love one another. Need to contact the Care Team?
